PC REPAIRS
Regular maintenance of your PC systems will save money in the long term. Regular software service-packs, anti-virus updates, cache clean outs and disk defrag will keep your PC in top fighting order. We can provide these services in person, or remotely over the internet. We can email latest software to you, or take control of your PC from our offices and update the systems for you.
Repairs at our Office are the most economical. Simply drop off the computer at our office and will inspect the system, advise on the repair cost and call you when the job is complete. If you are unable to transport your PC to our office to be repaired we can arrange to have it collected, returned and set-up, if required.
When bringing in a system for repair, please note the following:
- Unless asked otherwise, please bring only the main system unit. We will not need your monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer or any cables.
- For laptop repairs we will need the power lead/charger unit.
- Sorry, but we currently do not repair Apple Macintosh computers.

Quite often an inexpensive upgrade can dramatically improve the performance of your computer system. Our skilled staff are available to offer advice on possible upgrade paths as well as an estimate of cost, free of charge.
NETWORK DESIGN
We offer a full design and installation service for all sizes of networks. From small peer to peer workgroups for a few systems to local area networks (LANs) for larger installations and multi-site wide area networks (WANs) that link two or more LANs. We supply and configure high performance, reliable, custom-made servers built around Intel server components and running Microsoft server products, including Windows Server 2003 and Small Business Server. All of our servers are tailor made for each client's individual requirements.

DATA TRANSFER
Have you recently replaced your computer system? We can transfer your documents, e-mails, address book etc. from your old system to your new one, setup your internet connection and install any software you require to smooth the transition from old machine to new.
Please note that this service is FREE when you purchase a new desktop computer system from us (there is a discounted charge for new laptops).

A few years ago, a hard disk failure on a laptop caused a lot of problems here at The PC Workshop. Since then, we’ve learn our lessons and strongly recommend having a regular archiving scheme.
